Water repellent solution to give long term protection to porous building surfaces against acid rain, water ingress, degradation, frost and humidity attack, stains and general air borne pollution.

IMS is an environmentally sensitive impregnating preventative treatment which gets deep into a material’s pores, thus making it water repellent.

IMS is a unique treatment product principally designed for vertical surfaces but can be used on walkways and roofs, designed for use both inside and outside on:

Natural stone (limestone, marble, sandstone, slate)
Composite and reconstituted stone.
Tiles and terra cotta.
Architectural and structural concrete.
Plaster and cement products.
Paving bricks and cement flagstones.
Mortar and mineral coatings.
Calcium silicate bricks.

IMS offers long lasting protection against rain penetration in walls without affecting the passage of water vapour (ensuring that surfaces can ‘breathe’).

IMS is an environmentally, hazard free, water soluble solution, (non toxic, solvent free) that protects all porous materials from the problems associated with water penetration.

IMS is completely colourless and being almost invisible does not change the appearance of the material treated after application and is effective for approximately 7 years after application (subject to conditions and exposure).

Masonry Shield is ready to use. Do not dilute before use.
Shake/stir the container well before use. Apply in dry weather or in a period when rain is not predicted for 48 hours. Do not apply when temperature is less than 50C.
Ensure that the surface to be treated is clean, dust free and dry before applying the product.
Contact and cross contamination with solvent borne impregnating agents ie residues in application equipment must be avoided.
Apply with a low pressure sprayer, roller or brush at recommended application rate.
Treated surface should be impregnated to saturation point. On vertical surfaces, apply from the bottom up.
Drying time 24 hours.
Wait for 5 to 7 days for best effect to be noticed.
