This product has been specifically formulated for clients that have algae and weed pollution in their lakes and ponds and demand a more natural solution to the problem.  Azure does not contain any harmful or toxic chemicals such as herbicides, algaecides or bactericides.

Azure uses tried and tested technology and use non toxic European Food approved items manufactured from organic sources.

Within minutes of applying the product, Azure creates an artificial shadow within the water to halt UV light from reaching the bottom, which in turn will inhibit and halt any growth of the dreaded algae.

Algae requires ultra violet (UV) light to grow. Azure is the perfect solution for all sizes of ponds including small garden ponds and the larger deeper lakes. Azure works by targeting the Ultra Violet elements from the sun to halt the growth of existing and formation of new algae.
Azure can be used in a wide range of ponds, from just a few millimetres to several metres deep and serves as an ideal backdrop for flowering aquatic plants.

Ponds treated with Azure do not pose a threat to insects, visiting wildlife or fish. Only casting a slight ‘shadow’ within the water it is ideal for use in ‘fish ponds’ or other aquatic areas where visibility beneath the surface is important.
Aquatic weeds often cause serious problems in ponds, interfering with fishing, boating, swimming, and irrigation. Extremely dense growths of filamentous algae and submerged weeds may cause serious problems to fish as a result of night time oxygen depletion.

Manual algae prevention is very labour intensive and not always practical and the use of chemicals, algaecides, herbicides etc, if not used in precise doses or under strict supervision by experts, can cause an imbalance of the natural nutrients in the pond that may have a negative effect on fish, plants and other species.
Azure is  available in concentrate liquid form in 5 litre containers with a tamper evident cap. Each 5 litre container is capable of treating 200,000 litres of pond water. For 50,000 litres of pond water treat with 1.25 litres of Azure. For 10,000 litres treat with 250 ml of Azure.

At the above recommended dosage rate Azure works best in ponds with a minimum depth of 600 mm. For shallower ponds an increased dosage is required, for example, 300 mm depth requires a double dose, 150 ml would require 4 times the minimum dose etc. 

It should be noted that for a very small pond of 1000 litres of say 300 mm depth (the type of moulded pond bought from a garden centre) would only require 50 ml of Azure.
